Welcome to Ask the Physics Guy! We're developing the site right now, so not all links have content, but you can certainly ask your physics question at our Question Form!

Science is the process of studying our natural universe. Within that realm, physics is the science that seeks to describe the rules and patterns which the universe follows on a fundamental level. It is not to say, though, that the universe obeys the rules of physics! Rather, it is to say that the rules of physics are generalizations and summaries of how the universe behaves. As we discover new behaviors, we must modify our rules.

The very nature of the universe begs our investigation of it, doesn't it? If things were too chaotic, we would have no hope of establishing a consistent, scientific framework. Yet, if things were too ordered, we would have no reason to be curious investigators! Confronting and pushing back the fabric of the unknown is what really revs scientists up. Maybe it does for you, too!
